Leitzeit was created with a straightforward goal: to build mechanical watches that favor clarity, intention, and engineering discipline over marketing stories or excess decoration. A Letter from the Founder
"I started Leitzeit because I was fascinated by the timeless concept of mechanical watchmaking since I can think. In a world where so many products are designed to be replaced, mechanical watches stand out and they could last a lifetime. This timelessness and the love for the engineering behind mechanical movements made me found Leitzeit.
But this watch brand journey didn’t start in Switzerland. Leitzeit is a thought child of Guangzhou, where I’ve spent years crafting bespoke furniture and working closely with manufacturers. What I saw in watch component factories in Shenzhen and Dongguan was eye-opening: the components used by some of the world’s biggest luxury brands are made here every day and then exported to Switzerland and Germany for assembly. I realized that with the right approach, it was possible to create real premium watch without unnecessary markups.
Leitzeit combines German design principles with the best of what I’ve learned in manufacturing. We focus on clarity, durability, and precision. Watches that are made to be used, maintained, and passed down. We try to stay clear from gimmicks, and disposable trends.
For me, Leitzeit isn’t just a business. It’s about creating something practical, thoughtful, and enduring. Every watch we make is a reflection of that commitment and of my own experience navigating this industry."
